This policy explains how AR Systems, trading as Tikkit Labs ("we", "us"), handles personal data in connection with Sutra, our WhatsApp messaging platform for brands and their reseller networks.
AR Systems is a sole proprietorship registered in India (Udyam registered), operating from Bengaluru, Karnataka. You can reach us at founder@tikkitlabs.com.
For data about our own customers — the brands and resellers who use Sutra — we are the data fiduciary. For data our customers upload or collect through Sutra about their own customers, we act as a data processor on their instructions. Those brands remain responsible for the lawful basis on which they collect and message their contacts.
We use this data to provide the service, deliver messages via Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, produce reporting for our customers, provide support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use customer message content to train machine learning models.
We share data only with the service providers required to run Sutra — Meta Platforms for WhatsApp message delivery, our cloud hosting and database providers, our payment processor, and our error monitoring provider. Each is bound by contract to handle data only as instructed.
Data is stored on servers located in India. Some processing may take place outside India where a service provider operates internationally; where that happens we rely on appropriate contractual safeguards.
We keep account data for as long as an account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Message content and delivery records are retained per our customers' configured retention settings. Consent records are retained for as long as required to demonstrate a lawful basis for messaging, even where other data has been erased.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent. If you are an end customer of a brand using Sutra, please contact that brand first, as they control your data. You can also write to us and we will assist.
To stop receiving WhatsApp messages from a business using Sutra, reply STOP to any message from them. Opt-outs are recorded immediately and apply across every number that business operates.
We use encryption in transit, tenant isolation enforced at the database layer, role-based access control, and audit logging of administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect data in our care.
Sutra is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
